Each of the modules has been validated by the University of Greenwich for 30 credits at FHEQ Level 7 (Master's). The pass mark for the modules is 50%.

An MSc in Biomedical Science (Online) can be gained by completing 4 online modules (120 credits) plus a workplace based project (60 credits). The MSc has been accredited by the IBMS. Students who wish to take the full the MSc programme can register for this at the outset or after taking one or more online modules. Students must be on the full MSc programme before starting their fourth module.

Level 7 (Master's) credits can also be used as Accreditation of Prior Learning towards a full MSc at another institution (subject to each institution's own guidelines).

Each module is worth 100 credits in the Vocational category. On successful completion of the module, students are sent an IBMS CPD certificate to submit to the IBMS CPD department.
